Imagine what a Muslim neighbourhood would look like if it did not have a Mosque. Muslims wouldn’t have a place to worship Allah five times a day. Establishing prayer is the second most important pillar of Islam.

A masjid is at the heart of every Muslim community. Firstly, it provides a safe place and environment for the worshipers to pray and contemplate. Secondly, Masjid is the hub of Islamic education especially for the children to learn Qur’an. Finally, the mosque helps Muslims learn more about the Islamic way of life and nurture their moral and spiritual development.

Unite 4 Humanity is working closely with Muslim communities in need of building a masjid, across the world. Help us build mosques in Pakistan, Kashmir, Far East & Africa.

Place of worship

Mosques are places for the worship of Allah alone.

A Great Place to Spread Dawah

Mosques can attract non-Muslims to Islam. Building mosques will give the local communities the opportunity to showcase Islamic culture and values to non-Muslims living in the area. This could make them curious about Islam and its beliefs, and giving them an opportunity to find out more.

Centre of Learning

Mosques are centres of learning and study of the Qur’an, Hadeeth and the Seerah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

The Home of Biggest Gathering of the Week

The Masjid holds the biggest gathering of the week i-e Friday prayers. Friday prayer is obligatory upon every adult male.

Extreme poverty leads to hunger in Africa. Nearly a quarter of the hungry in the world live in Africa. One-fifth of people living in Africa are considered malnourished. Over 30 per cent of African children suffer from growth disorders such as stunting due to their chronic malnutrition.

You might be thinking after these figures why do we need to build a masjid in Africa, why don’t we just give food.

Alhamdulillah, Unite 4 Humanity has carried out a lot of charity work in Africa. We have build water wells, build orphanages, schools and distributed food amongst thousands of families.

With a situation like this, the importance of building mosques in Africa even increases. The mosques act as a community hub for locals, as well as a place of worship. People can get together in the masjid and discuss the needs of their community and come up with projects which will benefit the community for years to come.

Pakistan is a Muslim country, however a large part of Pakistan especially in South Punjab, Rural Sindh, Baluchistan and many remote parts of KPK, there are many communities in the need of Mosques.

As well as a place of worship, Masajid also acts as a community hub for communities isolated from main towns and cities. The areas in which we build mosques in Pakistan are always the areas where the poverty level is very high and thus either the communities do not have a Masjid or the Masjid is completely inadequate for daily use.

Remote parts of Azad Kashmir are one of the most underdeveloped and poverty-stricken areas. Due to continuous conflict between Pakistan and India, this area has never been developed.

Since 2012 Unite 4 Humanity has built many mosques across the LOC area and have helped numerous existing mosques with general repair and maintenance.

Unite 4 Humanity is helping rural and deprived communities build new mosques in Bangladesh. These mosques will not only act as a place of worship but will also help strengthen the ties among the Muslim community and contributes to their overall well-being and spiritual growth.

In Gambia, many Muslim communities struggle with poverty and a lack of access to adequate places of worship. Unite 4 Humanity is working on the ground. Along with providing food, water and Zakat aid, we’re helping Gambian Muslim Communities by building mosques for them.

Mosques serve a vital role in every Muslim’s life. They provide a place for daily five prayers and community gatherings. Helping Gambian Muslims build new mosques will bring a number of important benefits, including:
